Thank you for your interest in using the Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS). The ESS is the intellectual property of Dr Murray Johns and is protected under international copyright laws (© MW Johns 1990-1997).

The ESS is available to individual researchers and clinicians to use free of charge, however corporations, companies and governments or their agencies are required to pay a license fee for the reproduction and use of the ESS. An annual fee of AU$500 applies which entitles the licensee the use of the ESS an un-limited number of times over a 1 year period.
